Learning How To Love

I thought that I did ok; loving people I mean.
Until I had to deal with someone who made me more than angry.
I was justified in my anger, so it seemed.
I prayed that God would release me from this person.
God did.
However, what I found quite astounding was that;
When I no longer had to deal with this one, but chose to instead;
That somehow love filled the gap and it broke the thing I had struggled with so long.
Baggage from my youth.
Now instead of seeing injustice, I see the miracle,
And I can truly thank God for that painful experience.
God said, “Love your enemies”. I finally understood that this means.
Love everyone, from the ones you like to the ones who hate you.
