Dear God,

Why can’t we walk with an intimate level of communication with the Spirit; like Jesus did? Why aren’t we hungry for that? Why are we content to just do church?

What does it mean when Jesus said greater things will you do? When we reach the end of our lives, will this be true of us? What is missing in our relationship?

Why aren’t we anxious and excited to get another chance to be in His presence? Do we still need to learn something more; before we can have the Holy Spirit come and be part of our everyday life; and not just our Sunday morning?

Do we want Him to be part of our everyday life; so that we can get to our destination?
What are we asking for, when we ask for more of Jesus? What is the price? Do we need to do or say or receive something; that we don’t know of?

Are we praying wrong? Not spending enough time in the word? Not listening? Not in church enough? What is it? Are we not ready to receive what we’re asking for? Are we asking for something that is only reserved for evangelists? Are we asking the right questions? Does God want to give us what we want; more than we want it? Is this a passing desire? How bad do we want it? Why do we want it? What is it we want? Is there more to what we’re asking; than we’re able to understand?

Have we tasted, but forgotten? Do we remember what it feels like to be soaking in His presence? Are we ready for a new beginning?

God please make us ready for what you desire to do in us. Don’t allow us to be content with this powerless and mediocre life.
