Do we prefer ignorence?
If someone was lying to you about something wouldn’t you like to know? I know I would.
Would we recognize the truth if we saw it?
Do we have evidence?
Who do we believe? -the media? -the government? -pastor -teacher? -parents? -friends -the ACLU?
Who told us about the separation of church and state? Were they reliable? Where did they get their information?
Are we sure that we know what it is?
Do we think it might be convenient to be ignorent?
Why would someone lie to us in the first place?
Do we just believe what we want to believe?
Wouldn’t it be smart to believe the facts rather than the opinion of someone or group that has a hidden agenda?
Did you do any research yourself?
Some people and organizations cannot be trusted. We all could name a few.
I urge you not to believe everything you hear. Verify the source is reliable. Ask where the information came from and check it out.
At the very least we should ask ourselves 2 questions.
-why would this source lie to me(motivation)?
-why do I believe them?
If a lie did not have at least a shred of truth we would not believe it.
Is it logical? Can the logic be followed?
Shall we revise the truth? The facts? Interpret it a different way?
We cant win people to Christ with the truth and logic, they can only be won by the love of Christ.
When you use something as unintended you pervert it.
Where is our conscience? And what is feeding it?
